It is transmitted to humans by tick bites and can in severe cases lead to paralysis, heart disorders and nerve damage in general.
The incubation period is between 8 days and 3 months. At the first stage (4-6 weeks) formed a reddish ring around the puncture site. This heal but by itself within a few months.
